About Life Loosely Based

The name (LLB) really says it all. It's my way of taking everyday situations and spinning them into webcomic awesomeness.

LLB began in 2010 as a stick figure comic journal. As the book began to fill with sketches, I decided it was time to start creating comics that weren't just for me, but for the internets to enjoy.

My style has gone through many overhauls since the site's debut, both in art and writing.
I started by scanning pen and paper sketches, then evolved to drawing directly in Adobe Illustrator. Today I prefer the iPad as my canvas using programs like Paper53 and Sketchbook Pro.

To ensure 100% control over the site development, I wrote it entirely from scratch (no WordPress, Drupal, HTML5 Boilerplate, etc) just PHP, MySQL, CSS Javascript, and HTML4 tables, (yes, I write in tables).
